Shelley Page, Head of International Outreach, DreamWorks Animation

Shelley has been working in the field of feature animation since 1986. She has credits on over 20 films to date, including Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Shrek 1-4, Shark Tale, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon.

Her career in animation began when she worked in London with legendary animation director Richard Williams. From 1987 she served as head of backgrounds on the Walt Disney film Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. in 1989 she became head of backgrounds at Steven Spielberg's Amblimation Studio. In 1995 she moved to Los Angeles as one of the first team of artists to join Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen's new studio, DreamWorks Animation as co-head of Artist Development.

Her present position as Head of International Outreach involves building relationships with schools and festivals worldwide and sourcing new talent for current and future projects. Since 2006 she has been closely involved with the creation of a new DreamWorks team in India where she has also become associated with several of the leading academic institutions and festivals. Shelley is a member of the graduation juries and advisory boards of leading animation schools and festivals in the UK, Europe and worldwide.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and the MFG Film Funding, taking place in cooperation with VES Visual Effects Society, ACM SIGGRAPH and the World Building Institute. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Day (APD), a joint venture with the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart (ITFS).
