Animation Production Day (APD) is a business platform for the international animation industry and is taking place as part of the 24th Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film 2017 and FMX 2017, International Conference on Animation, Effects, VR, Games and Transmedia.

The APD co-production and financing market (accredited APD participants only) offers animation producers the opportunity to present their newly developed projects in pre-planned, 30 minute one-to-one meetings to potential co-producers, investors, broadcasters, international distributors, world sales and funders. 45 projects from 17 countries have been selected for this year’s edition of APD.

The APD conference features a session exploring the perspectives of animation for VR experiences, case studies on innovative feature film projects like “The Dumpling Queen” and “Loving Vincent”, a Content Briefing Session with broadcasters and distributors and the presentation of the new  “Animation Germany” initiative. The APD conference is open to accredited FMX participants.
