David Sproxton, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Aardman

DAVID SPROXTON is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Aardman. Together with co-founder Peter Lord, he has overseen the development of the company from a two-man partnership to one of the pre-eminent animation houses in the industry. Their first professional creation was the character ‘Morph’.

David Sproxton spent 3 years on the Board of the UK Film Council and is on the board of Encounters Festival (Bristol’s celebration of Short film).

David’s most recent film credits are as Executive Producer on Aardman’s recent hit film Shaun the Sheep Movie and the studios upcoming Nick Park animated comedy adventure ‘Early Man’.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and the MFG Film Funding, taking place in cooperation with VES Visual Effects Society, ACM SIGGRAPH and the World Building Institute, supported by Animation Media Cluster Region Stuttgart (AMCRS), AMD, AutodeskBackstage, Epic Games and Mackevision. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by the Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Day (APD), a joint venture with the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart (ITFS).
