Pam Marsden, Head of Production, Sony Pictures Animation

Pam Marsden is the head of production for Sony Pictures Animation, where she is responsible for planning, budgeting and supervising all projects on the Sony Pictures Animation slate. Pam also works extensively with individual show producers and their creative teams at Imageworks.

Prior to her role as head of production, Pam was executive vice president of physical production and has been responsible for supervising all projects on the Sony Pictures Animation slate. Before that Pam produced Sony Pictures Animation’s comedy hit features Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and its sequel, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2.

Before joining Sony Pictures Animation in 2005, Pam produced Dinosaur for Walt Disney Feature Animation and the home entertainment feature Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas for Walt Disney Pictures’ DisneyToon Studios.

She has worked as a production stage manager in Chicago and Off Broadway and also served as the managing director for the International Theatre Festival of Chicago.

Pam is a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her educational background includes a degree in theater arts from Kalamazoo College and post-graduate study at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by the Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Day (APD), a joint venture with the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart (ITFS).
