Duncan Burbidge, General Manager and Executive Producer, The Third Floor London

Duncan is General Manager and Executive Producer at The Third Floor’s UK-based studio, overseeing operations, sales, recruiting, business development and client relations for Europe’s largest previs team. The Third Floor London has become a go-to source to help directors and producers visualize and plan their projects, with notable film, television and commercial credits including Marvel’s Doctor Strange, Paramount's Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation, Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and HBO’s Emmy Award-winning Game of Thrones.

Duncan's unique experience combines previs, production, visual effects and facility infrastructure with a limitless enthusiasm for cinema and immersive content.  Prior to joining The Third Floor, he managed visual effects pre-production for a number of films at Framestore and served as VFX Producer on Clash of the Titans for Warner Bros./Legendary and Steven Spielberg’s War Horse.  He began his career as a previs and VFX coordinator on The Matrix sequels for the Wachowskis and on Terry Gilliam’s The Brother’s Grimm.

FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by the Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Day (APD), a joint venture with the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart (ITFS).
