STUDIO AKA - Our Continuing Story ...

Philip Hunt (AKA)

STUDIO AKA is a multi-BAFTA winning & Oscar-nominated independent animation studio & production company based in London. We're known internationally for our idiosyncratic & innovative work, expressed across an eclectic range of projects in short films, commercials and series animation. A close knit team that includes directors, designers, animators, writers, technical artists & producers, we create & consult on projects with a strong emphasis on Story, Design & Character. We’re a creatively diverse group of individual artists, but we work very closely with each other as part of our studio process.

This talk looks at how much of what we do is related to a projects journey and not its final destination. We continuously create and yet most of that wil be concepts that are discarded, rejected or just fleeting moments that get lost along the way. Some of it can help us explain how we got 'from there to here' … giving some insight into our process, how and why we do what we do, and where it goes from here ...
