![]() ARRI proudly introduces a new family of high-end digital cameras that will redefine the limits of digital motion picture capture with ultra-fast workflows and image quality akin to 35mm film. The new ALEXA cameras have been designed to bridge the gap between production and postproduction. While many users will rely on the uniquely quick and easy HD workflows, others will take advantage of the ARRIRAW data output. Recording raw, uncompressed data is likely to prove especially useful for visual effects-heavy productions, since the exceptional sharpness, high dynamic range and lack of noise of ARRIRAW images will make blue or greenscreen work and compositing tasks so much easier. The ALEXA cameras are also particularly suitable for 3D productions. Stereographers have been excited by the high sensitivity, high dynamic range and low pixel noise. Moreover pairs of ALEXA cameras can be operated in fully synchronized master-slave-mode.
